Due to increased demand for high tolerance precision machining on site, we have invested in new equipment to boost our metrology services and cements our status as the leading metrology service provider in Scotland. The new Faro Prime, 6 axis CMM has a reach of 2.4m and is one of the most accurate measuring arms on the market. This will allow us to create more accurate dimensional control reports for our customers at site and at our subcontract machining facility in Renfrew. This extends our already impressive range of equipment which includes the Faro Laser Tracker Xi, a 3D portable, contact measurement system that uses laser technology to accurately measure large parts of up to 70 metres in diameter with an accuracy of up to 0.025mm. This is in addition to laser flatness & shaft alignment survey equipment, as well as our large range of conventional measuring equipment.
